Who we are
SP Silicone Sealants Limited is a specialist silicone sealant and mastic application business based at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent ME4 4QX.

What we collect
When you use our enquiry form we ask for your name, phone number, email address and, optionally, your postcode, property type, the service you need, your area and a description of the job. We only ask for what we need to price the work and get back to you.
If you call or email us directly, we hold the contact details and job details you give us in that conversation. We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.
Our website may log ordinary technical information such as pages requested, browser type and approximate location, as any web server does, for security and performance purposes.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, and consent where you have ticked the consent box on the form.
To carry out a contract with you once you accept a quote, including scheduling, invoicing and any follow-up on the work carried out.
To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting records, and to hold records relevant to insurance or health and safety.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We share it only where necessary: with service providers who help us run the business (for example our website host, email provider and any customer relationship or enquiry-handling system we use), and with our accountant, insurer or professional advisers where relevant. Where a contractor engages us on a commercial site, we may need to share our documentation with them.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick the conversation back up if you return, then deleted.
Records relating to completed work, including quotes and invoices, are kept for at least six years to meet tax, accounting and insurance requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where consent is our basis.

Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including using reputable providers and limiting access to the two people who run the business. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information by email.
